The age for piercing without parental consent is 16 with proper ID. Under the age of 16 only a limited amount of piercings can be performed with a parent or legal guardian present, and they require proper identification. Accepted forms of ID are: Driver’s License, Passport, Health Card with photo, BYID card, Birth Certificate with Student Card. We require all clients present ID upon appointment, for both parent and minor.
Children ages 8+ are able to get earlobe piercings with valid ID and ID from the signing parent.
Ages 12+ can get a basic helix, and earlobe piercings with valid ID and ID from the signing parent.
Ages 14+ can get earlobes, and basic helix, as well as navel, nostril, and stretching with valid ID and ID from the signing parent.
Ages 15+ can get any of the above mentioned piercings, plus septum, tragus, conch, daith, and rook with valid ID and ID from the signing parent.
Ages 16+ can get any of the above mentioned piercings, plus lip, and eyebrow with valid photo ID.
Must be 18+ for tongue, industrial, nipples, genital piercings, and surface piercings with valid photo ID. NO EXCEPTIONS!
We do not offer any cheek, 'smiley', or tongue web piercings.
We do not pierce anyone under the age of 8.
The age for getting tattooed is 18 with proper ID. Clients that are 16 or 17 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian with proper identification. ID accepted is a Driver's License, Passport, Health Card with photo, BYID card, Birth Certificate with Student Card. We require all clients to produce proper identification upon request to get a tattoo at Thrive Studios.
To qualify as a signature for a minor you must be a parent or legal guardian. Other family relatives do not qualify. Letters written by a parent or guardian are not accepted.
All clients of all ages receiving services must provide proper photo ID. Valid ID accepted is a Driver's License, Passport, Health Card with photo, BYID card, Firearms license, Birth Certificate with Student Card.
Late arrivals may not leave the service provider with enough time to complete your appointment before their next scheduled client. Late arrivals may result in loss of your appointment and forfeiting your deposit.
Please cancel or reschedule your piercing appointment within 24 hours of your shceduled date and time or you may be subject to a $25 missed appointment fee.
To reschedule a tattoo appointment please call two business days before your scheduled appointment. Failure to call prior to two businesses days will result in forfeiting some, or all of your tattoo deposit.
To cancel a tattoo appointment please call two weeks before your scheduled appointment. Failure to call prior to two weeks notice will result in forfeiting your deposit.
*Effective October 1, 2020: Deposits are non-refundable. Deposits are transferable to another client, can be used towards any piercing or jewellery, or transferred onto a gift card
**Any deposits purchased before October 1, 2020 will remain subject to to previous deposit policy.
Free touch ups must be booked within 3 months of a healed tattoo.
We do NOT offer free touch ups on hands/fingers , feet, elbows, or faces.
Jewellery orders are subject to a 50% deposit. Cancelled orders BEFORE the company manufactures the piece(s) qualify for a full refund. Cancelled orders AFTER the company manufactures the piece(s) only qualify for a 20% refund. Orders that are not picked up 90 days after the call date are forfeit/not refunded and the piece is no longer on hold; released into inventory.
Jewellery orders must be picked up within 90 days or the piece will be released back into inventory. Jewellery deposits on orders will be forfeit/not refunded.
As per health guidleines all jewellery is final sale. No exchanges or refunds.
Damaged jewellery may be covered by manufacturers warranty. Please contact the studio to inquire about your piece. Lost jewellery is no considered damaged and therefore not covered by the manufacturer or Thrive Studios.
Gift Cards are FINAL SALE. No exchanges or refunds. Not redeemable for cash.
Thrive Studios is not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards.
Payment for services is due at the time of your appointment. Inability to pay may result in collections or reported to the local police department.
At Thrive Studios our professionals are experts in their fields and take pride in providing a good service. If at any point a service provider feels your request, piercing or tattoo cannot be executed to 1) promote a finished piece to meet both yours and their expectations, and 2) heal appropriately the service provider reserves the right to exercise their professional opinion and refuse to perform the service.
We reserve the right to refuse to perform piercings or tattoos on women pregnant or nursing, or anyone who is recently recovering from surgery.
We reserve the right to refuse service to any person who is under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
Thrive Studios reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who is rude, vulgar, disrespectful to property or persons both staff and partons, or abusive to staff and patrons.
